The FIFA world governing body on Friday announced that all FIFA licensed professional clubs, including the USMNT and the French national side, will wear their FIFA World Cup shirts at the World Cup.
The move comes in the wake of complaints that US Soccer and France’s national team are being singled out for mockery.
The USMND and France have faced similar criticisms.
The French government has launched a $10 million fund to buy uniforms for the US MNT, which is part of the national team.
The World Cup is a global sporting event, which attracts more than 100 million people from around the world.
The tournament has been held since 1998 and features the likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo.
